EVERY-day Week Pattern #3: Toasty Waffle Pants
Photography by Sara Parker
Well the week is officially halfway over and I hope you’re enjoying the new patterns! Today’s release really coordinates with tomorrow’s, so there are some peeks here and there :) These long-underwear inspired pants are knit with O-Wool Classic Worsted.
Toasty Waffle Pants will keep cozy even the most active buns! I have done a few pairs of pants now, and they are just so adorable when finished. I chose to write the pattern with seaming, but you could easily change it to work in the round if you like.
The waist includes some casing for elastic to keep the pants from falling down, and short rows are worked on the backside to allow room for diapers (even cloth).
(Do you like the purple marker on Charlie’s hand?) The pants coordinate with Monday’s Toasty Waffle Hat and of course tomorrow’s design too. I had to crop some of these photos a little bit excessively to not show you TOO much and blow tomorrow’s surprise. So sorry about that!

I hope you have a sweetie in mind to knit these little pants for. I have e-mailed both the winners their complementary patterns. You can also both e-mail me back and include your Ravelry ID and I’ll be happy to use Ravelry’s gifting features so that you also have them available in your libraries.
To be eligible for this week’s giveaways, you must be subscribed to my mailing list. 2 days and 4 chances remain to win patterns, plus a yarn+pattern giveaway on Friday!
I’m in Philadelphia today, hanging out with Aunt Dindy (who taught me to knit and also does the layout for Tot Toppers patterns) and my little sister. We’re going to Rosie’s Yarn Cellar tonight for knit night and a trunk show! I hope to meet some of you there!
How stinking cute are these!? Could an advanced beginner make it through the pattern (i made it through the Salute KAL this summer)?
I absolutely think you could! And I am always willing to help :)
So cute! I just want to tickle that little belly button!
Wouldn’t these be cute on a little girl under a dress in the midst of winter??? Here’s hoping my sis’s new baby is a girly girl! (And she will wear cloth, so it would be perfect!)
These are so cute. love the pattern
Kate – these are A-dorable! I will be sharing your blog link with the Wool Soaker Group on Yahoo as I think the cloth-diapering mama’s there would love something new to add to the soakers they put their little ones in!
SO cute! Love that waffle look
These are so cute and squishy! They would be perfect for our cold winters up north.
How cute! I love how they look in that nice, natural colored yarn…and I bet tomorrow’s pattern is going to rock!
Oh I love the waffle pattern in these, they are adorable!
